ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE FOR SPANISH TEACHERS

All lectures entirely in Spanish

An online professional development training conference for Spanish teachers, with live and recorded webinars (all webinars and materials will be available to registered participants through August 16, 2021). This conference includes:

Who organized the conference?

The conference is organized by Tía Tula Spanish School, an Instituto Cervantes accredited center that specializes in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and teacher training.

The majority of the webinars will be delivered by Tía Tula´s experienced teachers and head of studies, Laura Hernández Ramos. The rest of the webinars will be led by guest speakers from our collaborating partners. You can find more information about the webinars and our partners above.

Certificate

Participants registered in this online professional development conference who complete the full course (participating live or watching the recordings) of 20 webinars will receive a certificate from a Cervantes accredited center, Tía Tula Colegio de Español, attesting to your participation in the conference. This certificate will reflect the 20hrs of professional development you have received and will be sent by email in the month following the end of the conference.

If a participant wants or needs to certify more professional development hours, you have the option to add an additional 22 or 30hrs of certified professional development hours through workshops that will be offered at a reduced price to registered conference participants. How do I register?

To register, fill out our registration form and pay the 60€ tuition cost. That 's it!

Key Conference Dates

Raffles and Giveaways


    At the end of each conference day, Tía Tula and our collaborators will raffle off prizes relating to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, such as:

  • Licenses to use Genially
  • Partial scholarships to earn a master in teaching spanish as a foreign language from the UNIR.
  • Spanish materials from Edelsa and Anaya ELE.
  • SIELE exam coupons.
  • Complete professional development courses for Spanish teachers from Tía Tula.

When registering, each participant will be assigned a number. This is the number that will be used in the raffles. Special prizes will be awarded to raffle winners, although every conference participant will receive discounts on certain products and services offered by Tía Tula and our collaborators.

Frequently Asked Questions:


  • Do I need a teaching license to register?

    No. These conferences are designed for any and all interested participants. If you are still training to become a Spanish teacher, currently teaching, retired, or interested in becoming a Spanish teacher, you are welcome to join us!

  • Can I watch the webinars live and then later watch the recordings?

    Yes, all of the webinars that premiere live will be uploaded onto our platform the following day. They will remain available until August 16, 2021.

  • Can I still get a certificate if I only watch the recorded versions?

    Yes. You are required to watch all 20 webinars, but you can watch them either live or recorded.

  • I need to certify more than 20 professional development hours. Can you help?

    Yes. If a participant wants or needs to certify more professional development hours, you have the option to add an additional 22 or 30hrs of certified professional development. This would be delivered through supplementary workshops that will be offered at a reduced price to registered conference participants for a total of either 42 or 50 professional development hours. Basic information:

  • What do they consist of?

    15 professional development webinars for Spanish teachers that will take place from Monday 12th to Friday 16th July, broadcasted live from 12:30h to 13:30h and from 16:00h to 18:00h (Spanish time) + 5 more master-webinars, also highly specialised, that students will be able to watch in recorded format (whenever they want and as many times as they want) until 16th August + ELE material prepared for your classes, with instructions for its use (infographics, videos, games, exercises...) + Extra audiovisual material + Daily raffles for courses, scholarships, products and services related to ELE teaching.

  • Certified hours: 20 hours* (15 hours of live webinars + 5 hours of recorded webinars).

    * In the event that you need to certify more than 20h of professional development, you can complete those 20h with a specific professional development workshop of 22h / 30h more that we would offer you at an exceptionally reduced price as a participant of the Conference: ask us if you interested.


  • Can the webinars broadcasted live also be viewed later on a recorded version?

    Yes, the day after the live broadcast of each webinar, it will be uploaded on the platform so that the student can also watch it whenever he/she can and wants, and as many times as he/she needs, remaining accessible until 16th August.

  • Certificate:

    At the end of the Conference, Tía Tula Colegio de Español, as a centre accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, will send a certificate of participation by email. In order to receive it, it will be necessary that, in addition to being registered, the participant fills in the attendance form for each of the webinars given (regardless of whether the webinar is watched live or recorded). The certificate will be sent by e-mail within one month of the end of the webinars.

  • Participation fee:

    This is a specialised training programme at a reduced price: the cost of participation is only 60 euros.

  • Registration:

    To register, it is necessary to fill in the registration form and pay the participation fee.That's all.

  • Are there scholarships?

    Yes, Tía Tula, together with the Regional Government of Castilla y León, offers up to 40 free participation scholarships. They will be drawn among all participants who wish to benefit from them and that have indicated so in their registration form.
